His story

Rehabilitation experience in India and the UK

Rishee Patel is a specialist neuro physiotherapist. He helps people regain independence after a stroke, a brain injury, or a diagnosis such as Parkinson’s or multiple sclerosis.

His clinical journey began in India. In 2017 he co-founded Revival Physio with Dr Keyur Patel, and a busy clinical practice there gave him wide experience of complex recoveries.

After moving to the UK, Rishee founded Revival Neuro Physio in 2025, a neuro-focused extension of Revival Physio, bringing the same dedication to people in Cambridgeshire. He combines his international experience with UK professional standards.

His approach

Why neuro physiotherapy?

Recovering from a stroke or living with Parkinson’s is not the same as treating a sports injury. Neurological rehabilitation draws on neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt and form new connections.

Gait re-education

Helping the brain and body coordinate walking patterns again.

Cueing strategies

Using cues to help people with Parkinson’s overcome ‘freezing’ when they walk.

Spasticity management

Techniques to ease stiff muscles and improve movement.

In the UK, Rishee focuses on neurological conditions and uses evidence-based techniques such as these. He has a special interest in the human movement system: how the brain, nerves, muscles and joints work together to produce movement.

The home visit philosophy

Recovery in your own home

Rishee is a strong advocate of home-based recovery. It removes the stress of travel and allows for more practical, functional therapy.

‘I believe the best place to learn how to walk is in your own hallway. My goal is to make you safe and independent in your own environment.’
