Specialist Stroke Rehabilitation at Home
Intensive, evidence-based physiotherapy to restore mobility and independence after a stroke
Life After Stroke: Recovery Doesn’t Stop at Hospital Discharge.
Leaving the hospital is a major milestone, but it is often when the real work begins. NHS community therapy is excellent but often time-limited. At Revival Neuro Physio, we provide the intensive, ongoing input required to maximise Neuroplasticity. We don’t just help you ‘cope’ with disability; we push for your maximum potential recovery.
How We Retrain Your Brain
The brain is capable of rewiring itself. If one pathway is damaged by a stroke, we can train new pathways to take over. This requires High Repetition and Task-Specific Practice.
Our Techniques:
Gait Re-education
Breaking down walking into segments to correct limping or dragging.
Upper Limb Therapy
Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) to get your hand working again.
Spasticity Management
Stretching and positioning to reduce stiffness and tone.
Your Recovery Roadmap
Recover Where You Live
- Real-World Practice: We teach you to climb your stairs and use your kettle.
- Fatigue Management: No energy wasted traveling to a clinic means more energy for therapy.
- Family Involvement: We teach your family how to assist you safely between sessions.
FAQ
-
How soon after a stroke should I start?
Immediately. The brain is most 'plastic' (changeable) in the first 3-6 months, but improvements are possible even years later.
-
My arm has zero movement. Can you help?
Yes. We use sensory stimulation, mirror therapy, and passive movements to try and 'wake up' the connection.
